Hello GORA members,
Happy Spring! Your GORA Board of Directors has continued to meet (via Zoom) and carry out our regular business over the past year.
We are planning to hold the 2022 Annual General Meeting at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 9 at the Recreation Hall. We are looking forward to seeing everyone at our first in-person meeting since 2019! There are 3 vacant Board positions available.
A reminder that taxpayers with boats must fill out and sign the Boat Wash Attestation Form and send it to the Municipality of Otter Lake, who will then send you a free boat wash magnetic card and stickers for your boat(s). The magnetic card can be used at the boat wash station. As a taxpayer, you are NOT required to wash your boat if you are launching it into the same lake year after year. However, if you move a boat from lake to lake, you MUST wash it before each launch. This new by-law will be strictly enforced with a $300 fine for those who do not comply.
The results are in from the RSVL water quality testing that we conducted in 2021 and all four lakes remain in very good condition. Full details can be found on this website.
Here's to a great summer!
